Description:
Denso developed the auto industry's first compact stick-type ignition coil. The space-saving design of Denso ignition coils requires no high-tension ignition cables, fitting neatly into the engine's spark plug bore. Along with its stick coil technology, other advanced features include micro-sized driver circuits and diagonal inductive windings.
That same expertise is put to use on all Denso ignition coils regardless of their configuration. Each Denso ignition coil is designed and optimized for its specific application, then continually improved by Denso's global engineering team. One key to effective combustion in today's low-emission, high-efficiency engines is consistent, high-energy ignition output. Denso direct ignition coils deliver it.
Additional features and benefits of Denso ignition coils include:
Integrated driving circuit in the top of the coil
Superior-quality components and materials ensure optimal performance
Tested and inspected to ensure high quality
Diagonal windings eliminate sectioned bobbins, reducing size and weight
Improved coil efficiency lessens the need to generate high voltage
Eliminates phantom misfires
Small in size, light in weight, and easy to install
Provides maximum available voltage under all operating conditions

Details:
The 3.7L V-6 & 4.7L V-8 engines uses a separate ignition coil for each cylinder. The one-piece coil bolts directly to the cylinder head. Rubber boots seal the secondary terminal ends of the coils to the top of all 6 spark plugs. A separate electrical connector is used for each coil.
