The fifth-generation RAM 1500 made its debut to great fanfare and success, beating out its main rival—the new, next-generation Chevy Silverado—in launch year sales and winning numerous industry awards along the way. The latest iteration of RAM’s classic pickup represents an overall refinement of the platform, offering a more aerodynamic exterior design and features like a modern automatic tailgate, adaptive cruise control, a bed lowering system, and LED headlights straight from the factory. The vehicle is available in seven trims comprising two cab configurations—a four-door extended cab with a standard bed or a four-door crew cab with a short or standard bed. RAM discontinued to the two-door model for this generation. Engine options on the new RAM 1500 include a 3.0L V6 EcoDiesel, 3.6L V6 with eTorque, and a 5.7L HEMI V8.
